Great to be back at The Blue Coat School Oldham for their annual Futures Exhibition today.

We spent the morning talking to students about career options - and hopefully reassuring them that it’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out at 16!

What needs to happen to put English Women's Futsal on the map, to get more women and girls into the sport, and why should you get down to a game?

We spoke to the Manchester Futsal Club Women's Team about exactly that. They won their league title last season and they're brilliant at what they do.

This November/December saw an incredible moment for the sport – the first ever FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup. England wasn't represented, which is exactly why grassroots clubs like Manchester Futsal Club are so important.

Meet Zara, Cheryl, Jane, and Simon Wright, the Club's CEO and Co-Founder, and see some highlights from a recent game for yourself.

Being part of the Manchester Futsal Club journey as Headline Sponsors has been really special. The sport is great fun and we really encourage anyone in the Greater Manchester area to get involved.

It’s Christmas Jumper Day at WeDo!

The team's in full festive mode, and we've taken it a step further with a Bake Off competition - bringing everyone together while raising funds for Save the Children UK.

Save the Children support kids and families who are facing an increasingly volatile world. The money raised on Christmas Jumper Day helps children in the UK and around the world stay safe, healthy, and learning.

Welcome to the team, Chris Saunders and Brandon Morgan!

Chris has joined the WeDo Business Finance group as a Risk Manager and Brandon has joined us as a Graduate Trainee.

Hannah Preston, Head of Risk, says: "It’s my absolute pleasure to welcome Chris and Brandon to WeDo.

"They have hit the ground running with an abundance of enthusiasm and ideas, and they're getting stuck in from the get-go.

"I’m delighted that Brandon has opted to start his journey in finance with WeDo and Chris has chosen to continue his finance journey with us, bringing a wealth of knowledge, and plenty of fresh ideas.

"I can’t wait to see what they achieve alongside Francesca Entwistle, Emma Rylance and the wider Credit Risk and Underwriting team of Aman Gill and Gary Brown."

Futsal is back! ⚽️

Once again, we’re Headline Sponsors of Manchester Futsal Club.

We’ve had so much fun being part of the journey so far. This club is really special, and we’re excited for what the new season will bring.

Simon Wright, the club’s Founder and CEO says:

“It’s a new season, but it’s the same high expectations. We want success and we have to be prepared to improve if we are to achieve our hopes of being in the big games come April/May next year.

“The Senior Men’s have to find their way back from missing out on the UEFA Futsal Champions League last season. That won’t be easy, but we feel anything less is a failure.

“Meanwhile, we’re excited to see a new group of Academy graduates flourish as part of the Development Team. And the Women’s Team will be looking to keep the momentum going from last year’s season title win. They also have emerging talent coming through who will want to compete.

“In futsal, it’s always high drama and high stakes. It’s what we love and what we want to share with our fans again this season!”
