📅 Tax deadlines: are you ready?

Running a business means there are plenty of dates to keep track of and missing a tax deadline could mean penalties, interest and unnecessary stress.

With Self Assessment, Making Tax Digital, PAYE, Corporation Tax and Companies House deadlines to consider, now is a good time to make sure your key dates are in the diary.

A few important dates coming up include:

🔹 5 October – Self Assessment registration
🔹 31 October – paper Self Assessment returns
🔹 7 November – next Making Tax Digital quarterly update
🔹 30 December – deadline to request tax collection through PAYE
🔹 31 January 2027 – online Self Assessment return and tax payment

Making Tax Digital is also bringing significant changes for sole traders and landlords, with more taxpayers expected to come into the system over the next couple of years.

🏅 Supporting the Saddleworth Village Olympics 🏅

At Albion House Wealth Management, we’re proud to support the Saddleworth Village Olympics — a fantastic community event that brings villages, families and young people together every year.

Across the villages of Saddleworth, nearly 800 children take part in almost 1,000 training sessions, culminating in 154 competitions across 13 different sports. From trying something new to making friends and enjoying a little healthy competition, it’s a brilliant celebration of everything that’s great about our local community. ❤️

The Games run throughout September, with training taking place over the summer, before the villages come together for celebrations in early October.

Best of all, the event is now free for every child to take part. Parents are simply encouraged to donate what they can, with £10 per child suggested — but the most important thing is that every child has the opportunity to get involved, whatever their circumstances.

We’re delighted to support the Friends of the Saddleworth Village Olympics and the incredible volunteers who make this unique event possible.

You can read more about the games here: https://www.saddleworthvillageolympics.co.uk/home ⬇️

Good luck to all the competitors 🏆👏

Join the Saddleworth Village Olympics! Free sports competitions for children across 7 villages.

What an amazing night at the Oldham Business Network event organised by Ian Taylor! 🤝

Held at The Rec Rooms, Uppermill – it didn’t disappoint. It was so lovely catching up with familiar faces, plus we made loads of great new contacts too 🤩

Huge praise for the venue – the buffet was absolutely outstanding 🥗🍰, plus great music, a raffle, drinks, sunshine and everyone supporting one another.

That genuine community spirit is exactly what makes Oldham so great 💛

Thanks for such a brilliant evening!
