📅 Tax deadlines: are you ready?
Running a business means there are plenty of dates to keep track of and missing a tax deadline could mean penalties, interest and unnecessary stress.
With Self Assessment, Making Tax Digital, PAYE, Corporation Tax and Companies House deadlines to consider, now is a good time to make sure your key dates are in the diary.
A few important dates coming up include:
🔹 5 October – Self Assessment registration
🔹 31 October – paper Self Assessment returns
🔹 7 November – next Making Tax Digital quarterly update
🔹 30 December – deadline to request tax collection through PAYE
🔹 31 January 2027 – online Self Assessment return and tax payment
Making Tax Digital is also bringing significant changes for sole traders and landlords, with more taxpayers expected to come into the system over the next couple of years.
