We were founded in 1974 by Gordon Whitham and John Smith and since then Gordon Smith Guitars have powered some of the world’s most famous bands. Check out this bespoke Geist in our Lava finish! Our customer, Orlando, picked a beautiful flamed maple cap, complemented by a scraped top body bind.

Not to mention the stunning custom inlays on the fretboard and headstock to personalise it even more.

The HSH configuration with 5-way switching and push/pull splitting on both humbuckers makes this a super versatile tone machine.

The sky's the limit and we're sure the riffs will be endless!

We're taking a moment to celebrate the life of Steven Dowd.

He was a central part of the Gordon Smith family and someone we proud to have on our side. He held so much knowledge about Gordon Smith Guitars, that even we would refer to him when older guitars came into the workshop.

He was always willing to share his knowledge right across our community, affectionately known as "The Gordon Smith Oracle"

In recent years, we built a handful of new guitars for him and his attention to detail and interest in all areas of the build process challenged us and kept us on our toes. It was a pleasure to work with him and get to know him as a friend of the business.

We will ensure his memory is always a part of the Gordon Smith story.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this time.

The Gatsby Deluxe takes our award winning offset and oozes class and versitility.

At its heart, it’s still a Gatsby lightweight, comfortable, lively and properly fun to play. But for our new Deluxe version, we have a flat top body, fixed hardtail bridge and a clean black gold aestetic.

The spec is deliberately classy. Jet Black gloss body, satin neck, matching headstock, roasted birdseye maple neck, ebony fingerboard, Evo Gold frets and gold/black hardware.

Our premium humbucker and P90 pairing gives you loads to work with. The bridge humbucker brings the power and focus, while the neck P90 adds a more open, raw edge. With CTS electronics, Gotoh 18:1 tuners, hardtail bridge and a GS hardcase, this is a Gatsby with all the fundamentals tightened up.

Elegant, punchy and very much the elite evolution of our offset.
