Ask yourself the following three questions.

1. What is your ideal age to retire?

2. Are you currently on track to hit that goal?

3. What plans have you put in place to achieve that goal?

If you have answered ‘No’ or ‘Don’t know’ to ANY of these questions, then it’s imperative you start to plan now.

Working with a financial planner can help identify short falls in your financial plans over the long term.

Addressing these now means that your goals and objectives have a better chance of being achieved.

You’re more than likely paying into an employer scheme now, and likely have other pensions. What funds are they in? How are they being managed?

Having a proactive management of your funds is vital.

Why Investing in a turbulent market should be seen as a POSITIVE.

When markets dip or are performing below expectations, many people are hesitant to invest.

Think about your favourite shop. Now imagine that shop was having a 20% off sale. Would you be more inclined to buy at the lower price?

When stock markets and the economy are performing well, that’s when people tend to feel more comfortable putting money in.

Now imagine your favourite shop again. Instead of that 20% sale, it’s now 20% MORE expensive. Are you going to buy then?

The discount in your favourite shop is seen as a good thing, so is the ability to enter the stock market at a lower buy price.

We need to talk about PENSIONS.

Are you saving enough for your retirement?

When was the last time you had a financial review?

Do you know the importance of putting your pension into Trust?

These are things you NEED to consider. For you and your family.

When was the last time you reviewed your pensions?

Are they in the right place for you?

Are they invested in funds that match your risk profile?

Do you get any advice on them?

You’re paying charges on your pension pots, so it’s only right that they are managed in the right way.

Part of my service is that I can review your pensions and other finances.

It’s all tailored to your wants and needs.

THE SIMPLE APPROACH TO MONEY MANAGEMENT!

Draw yourself three boxes.

Box 1. This is your NOW money. Money that covers bills and monthly spend.

Box 2. This is your ‘NEED WITHIN 5 YEARS’ money. A rainy day or ‘emergency fund’. New carpets, boiler or holiday money.

Box 3. This is your ‘MEDIUM-LONG TERM MONEY’. This money should not be laying dormant or put in Box 2. Utilise it. Plan with it. Use it to put towards your future, your children’s future and your retirement.

Draw the boxes and let me know how you get on.

Are you making the most of your allowances?

With Tax Year end approaching, there is still time to contribute to your pension or utilise your £20,000 ISA allowance.

Are you a Director of a Limited company? Did you know the contributing to a pension can reduce your corporation tax bill?

Don’t miss out.

Financial Revew.

When was the last time you sat down and reviewed your current circumstances?

Maybe you get pension statements from 5 or 6 different providers.

Perhaps you have excess income that you are tucking away in a savings account and getting very little in return?

Financial reviews are done at my own cost. all it costs you is a bit of your time….and probably a coffee.

Personal Pension Contributions.

Contributing a sum of £5,000 on a pension means that £6,250 is actually put into your pension if you are a basic rate tax payer.

Contributing £10,000 means that £12,500 actually goes into your pension if you are a basic rate tax payer.

If you pay in £200 per month, £250 per month goes in if you are a basic rate tax payer.

Are you making the most of the tax relief available?

Are you planning for your future?

Financial Education shouldn’t start when you get your first job or move into your own home,

It should start much earlier.

Did you know that Financial Education was added to the National Curriculum in 2014? There are many reasons schools don’t implement in from fear of budget or knowledge.

I have taken that on and worked to achieve my accreditation in Financial Education for Young People.

This means I can work with students in schools to educate them around the importance of money, saving, budgeting and more.

This is not a chargeable service. So no need to budget.

I have the qualifications, so don’t worry about the knowledge. I am here to help.

A really positive week of meetings!

Helping my clients arrange their finances and ensuring that plans are being put in place has been fantastic.

It’s been brilliant to see and hear how they feel when we put plans in place. Relief, excitement and peace of mind.

One of my favourite phrases to hear is ‘oh, I didn’t know that’. It means I am doing my job.

The benefits of financial planning are huge. Don’t miss out.

Unloved Pensions……

If you’ve changed jobs since 2012/2013 the chances are you have a pension pot from your previous employer laying dormant, going unnoticed and feeling a little unloved.

Ask yourself what you know about these pension. Are they in the right place for you? Is the risk profile right for you? How is it performing?

If you’re looking at this and you don’t know, then you need to have these pension reviewed to ensure they are in the right place for you.

It’s absolutely paramount for your later life.

Don’t let it drift, don’t miss out.
