We will be open 10am to 12pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the lead up to Christmas.

Thank you for your patience during this busy time

From today, our Caerphilly, Tredegar, Newport and Blackwood branches will be open 10am - 12pm. This temporary reduction to our opening times will be in place until after Christmas.

Staff will be still be available via telephone and email between 9.30am and 3pm.

We have had a large influx of loan applications over the last few days and our underwriters are working hard to get decisions to members quickly. If you have submitted a loan application, we will contact you as soon as we can if we require further information or once a decision has been made, so you do not need to call us unless you have a missed call from us.

We thank our members for their patience and support during this busy time.

Thank you GAVO - Newport for a fantastic evening last night and congratulations to all winners, finalists and nominees 👏 We were so inspired by the amazing work that goes on in our city and its communities.

As we reflected on the touching stories from the celebration, CEO Mark White reminded us that Smart Money Cymru’s roots are firmly embedded within the volunteer sector. Over 30 years ago, we were founded by those willing to give up their time, knowledge and support to create a strong, community led financial organisation for the people of Wales. To this day we still have a large community of volunteers. They can be found running SMC community banking hubs and sitting on our Board of Directors, all working together to continue highlighting the importance of ethical finance in communities.

So, from all at Smart Money Cymru, we thank those who give that little bit extra to their community 👏
