Getting ready to open for fishing season on May 1st. Work in progress but looking good so far. Have managed to escape flood damage this year. Look forward to seeing anglers.

From today (4/6/24) Woodall’s pond will no longer be taking bookings for night Angling but will continue to open as a day fishing venue. No bookings are required for day fishing, anglers can just turn up and fish. The bailiff will come round to collect monies. The several night fishing bookings that have already been taken for this year will of course be honoured.

Just to update anglers who are not aware. We lost several carp last October when we had problems with oxygen levels. We have opened again 1st June. Have only had 5 anglers since then and I don’t think any Carp have been caught so far. If anyone has booked and they want to cancel that is understandable and could they just let us know please.
I have seen carp in pond since when working round it. However chance of catching one will be much lower. Only come if you are prepared to be disappointed.

Due to ongoing flooding, necessary repairs to paths and pegs have been delayed and will not be finished in time to open at the beginning of May. Therefore we will be aiming to open 1st June to get this done. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The pond is closed because it is flooded. All pegs and paths are under water. We will be opening on 1st May 2024

Pond will remain closed until further notice.
Oxygen levels seem to improving, but we are giving the fish more time to recover so won’t be taking any bookings at the moment.

Pond Closed

After the hot weather over last week or so we are having problems with the oxygen levels in the pond. Therefore we will be closed for a while until things get back to normal.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused but the welfare of the fish is the priority
