Our filly foal by Kodiac out of Bayalika will go through the ring at Tattersalls on the evening of Thursday 24th November, as Lot 754, shortly after 7pm. Kodiac is having another excellent season and his foals sold extremely well at Goffs, so that is a positive. She is being consigned by Norelands.

We sadly had to put Bayalika down last month. The mare developed laminitis las November and, although we were able to manage the condition initially, it deteriorated rapidly after foaling, and we were left with no choice but to put her to sleep. Her Kodiac foal, born in late March, has been fostered, and is reportedly doing well.

Gun Runner, a three year old c**t by Candy Ride, and trained by Steve Asmussen, is a live candidate for the Kentucky Derby. Candy Ride continues to breed tough, hard running types and he is currently third in the north American sires list by earnings and leading by the number of winners. A Kentucky Derby winner would further boost his appeal.
