E3Design was created to solve an industry wide problem.

Far too often design consultancies produce beautiful, artistic concepts that cannot be manufactured and engineering teams build functional products that lack aesthetic appeal.

Both disciplines are viable and highly skilled but often do not result in a product that is visually compelling, mechanically sound and ready for real world production.

We sit deliberately in the middle.

Our work is driven by the belief that great products should look good, work flawlessly and be manufacturable without compromise.

That means designing with engineering in mind, engineering with design in mind and making decisions that support tooling, production, sustainability and long term reliability.

E3Design bridges the gap. Creating products that are beautiful, functional and buildable. Just design and engineering working together from day one.

Even well-resourced engineering and design teams can face periods where demand, competing priorities or project bottlenecks place pressure on internal capacity.

Over the last few years, E3Design has supported a global organisation by providing flexible design and engineering resource where it was needed most. This support helped a series of projects progress through to release within required timescales and budgets.

Our involvement included engineering and design input to add technical capacity, project management support to keep deliverables and stakeholders aligned, procurement support to source and manage components and technical documentation to provide the drawings and manufacturing information required for production.

By integrating with the client’s existing team, we helped maintain momentum across multiple projects and supported the delivery of products through development and into manufacture. We’re proud to continue supporting the organisation on its next suite of products.

We’re excited to be taking part in the Better Health at Work Awards, with Bronze as our first target.

We joined because the Awards offer a practical framework for improving workplace health and wellbeing.

They help us turn our good intentions into measurable action.

Our Great North Run efforts have already contributed to this through regular training, improved fitness fundraising for charities that champion public health. With just a sprinkling of competitiveness.

This is the start of a long term journey and we’re excited to build on the momentum!

Sketching is still one of the fastest and most effective ways to communicate early ideas. It lets us explore possibilities, solve problems and build a shared understanding of what a product could be long before CAD or engineering begins.

These early concept sketches are the foundation of every project, turning early innovation into something that can be manufactured and marketed.

For Mud Daddy, this stage was essential. It allowed us to build a recognisable shape that was practical, robust and manufacturable. A design that’s now helping people keep their cars, kit, dogs and life mud free!

We’re seeing more and more founders coming to us after using AI to create their first product concepts… and we’re up for the challenge!

Mud Daddy is one of those projects that reminds us why we do what we do!

What began as an early concept brought to us by founder Rez Gachcar has grown into a product recognised across the UK and even beyond.

Rez came to E3Design with a clear commercial vision and a practical challenge to solve. Together, we shaped that early idea into something ready for manufacture, working through the realities of engineering, usability and production.
