Update.
We've had updates from some lenders, valuations will no longer be carried out if the valuer needs to enter the property.

This will be why some company's will only offer re-mortgage deals upto 60% loan to value.

40% equity in a property means less risk to the lender.

If you owe more than 60% on your Mortgage you will be governed on which lenders will offer you a Mortgage.

As per previous post, a product transfer may be the best option.

Product transfers with most lenders can be applied for 3 months before the current deal ends (some maybe longer)

We're getting emails from lenders informing us that due to the situation we are currently facing, new mortgage products in the way of both purchase and re-mortgages are being withdrawn or limited.

Anyone with their current Mortgage deal coming to the end of the fixed rate could struggle to get a Mortgage with a new lender.

Rather than going on to the lenders variable rate, a product transfer should be possible to save your Mortgage payment increasing too much.

Here's some information we've just recieved from The Coventry Building society for any one who has a Mortgage with them and is concerned about making payments at the moment.

Details are given about who could be eligible, it says clients must not be in arrears. However It does say anyone that has arrears could still recieve help but needs to ring them and not complete the online form.

As we recieve updates from other lenders we will post details.

Most lender's will offer the same help,
