Rising fuel costs are worrying many farms right now, and the numbers really speak for themselves.

LPG has recently been offered at 78p per litre, while the equivalent cost for wood pellets is typically around £300 per tonne. That puts pellets at roughly 45% cheaper than LPG on a like for like basis.

Add in the stability of wood chip pricing, with 1, 2 and 3-year fixed options, and it’s easy to see why so many are looking at renewable heat with fresh eyes.
