https://ko-fi.com/motherwellwildlife Motherwell and surrounding towns and villages have a very high rate of all kinds of wildlife crime. 8 years ago we come across a dug-up badger sett and from there decided to give the wildlife in our area a helping hand. Lobby to have wildlife warning signs on dangerous roads. Inve

stigate developments by reading ecological reports and ensuring they abide by the law. liaising with developers, MSP, S, MP’s, councillors, sspca, badger Scotland and more
Annalise planning permission along with ecological reports. We then visit sites before the development starts to ensure there is no wildlife (including badger setts, bird nests, bats, etc) that isn’t mentioned in any of the reports. Make the public aware of their actions and the effect those actions have on wildlife. We do this online and with posters. Check badger setts and install cameras to prevent those setts from getting dug and badgers removed for baiting. Infiltrate the hunting community and gain the confidence of certain individuals. This allows us to gain valuable information on who is hunting, where, how, and when. Patrol areas day and night where we believe hunting is due to take place. In times of heavy snow and ice, we give wildlife a helping hand with food,

We have people who have taken on some foxes for us but we need more , do you have a car and want to help feed urban foxes twice a week ?

Everyday this badger does this :) it seems he is changing chambers, I think he is trying to get peace and quiet from the cubs who will be playing in the sett

Foxes just want the chance to live, far to many are put to sleep when all they needed was a little help.

This is what terriers go through when they are forced to face badgers. .

No dog enjoys this.
You can help fight this by giving us any information you have, no matter how little it seems; just talk to us.
There will be dogs like this out there tonight in a kennel, in pain, dreading the time it is once again forced to fight a badger. Remember, if it doesn't, if it shows signs of reluctance, it will get beaten, knocked over the head or just dumped.
Those that dig badgers are the lowest of the low in the hunting world; we have hammered them in Lanarkshire. Let's get them hammered everywhere; talk to us.

Hungry cub will be getting it's food tonight , he's always out alone looking for food .
Some vixens are rubbish mothers, I think this is the case here as this young one has been feeding itself for a good while now .
Also, the posters in the area regarding dogs seem to have worked , not a dog on the sett since we put them up , before that there were multiple every day .
