Last Saturday I had the delight of supporting Alice of Baked by Alice Louisa at her pop-up cafe. Not only because there was DELICIOUS cake on offer, but because I got to watch her in action. She's a gorgeous human and it's so lovely to watch her flourishing.

What I wasn't expecting though, was to see so many ladies that I've met through Athena! Some of who I hadn't seen for a while, some I'd seen online only that week. All of who turned up to share their support with one of their tribe (one lady came all the way from Clacton!) and all of who I loved reconnecting with.

It reminded me just how strong our community is and how privileged I am to have so many brilliant connections. And how lucky I was to get SO MANY hugs!

If you're not in, you're missing out! Come and join us for a meeting sometime, and feel that energy for yourself - you won't regret it!

🥳🥳 10 absolutely FANTASTIC years!! 🥳🥳

I'm having to pinch myself this morning as I celebrate my 10th anniversary of leading Athena groups!

TEN. WHOLE. YEARS!!

It feels impossible, and I feel a bit lost for words, if I'm honest.

What I can, hand on heart say, is that I'm a different woman to the Anna who started out in 2016. And that's down to the extraordinary women I'm surrounded with, supported and inspired by, and who have become an intrinsic part of my story.

I cannot fully express how grateful I am for those women and the experiences we've had together. Even the more challenging ones (maybe more on that in another post, because today is a day to celebrate)

I never imagined that any role could be this rewarding. I didn't know such a thing existed. But, I am so incredibly grateful the opportunity came along at the time it did and that I had the courage to say YES! Something that corporate Anna would have run from.

To EVERYONE I've met, worked with, been supported by, inspired and even parted ways with because things didn't align - THANK YOU! You're part of my story and I will always be grateful for the part you took in getting me to where and who I am today.

To my current members, I CANNOT wait to celebrate with you on the 30th 🍰

Here's to what's next - I hope it's even more fabulous!

Join us for another morning of brilliant conversations!

Open to business women and men.

Yes, you'll probably find out about other businesses in the area, but you'll definitely find out about other business PEOPLE in the area - what makes them tick, why they love what they do and how you could support and inspire each other. Because THAT'S what REALLY brings return on networking investment (not just passing business cards and hoping!)

All this while supporting our charity partner, Chilterns Neuro Centre who do exceptional work to support members living with MS, Parkinsons and Stroke Survival.

There'll be refreshments and pastries aplenty too.

And why not keep your diary free for lunch at a local cafe/pub and invite someone you meet on the day to keep the conversation flowing?

Tickets are just £20 for visitors (£10 for Athena Network members) and a donation from each goes to Chilterns Neuro Centre.

Business Development Training at the Aylesbury Tuesday group 19 May 2026, 12 - 2pm.

Jaqui Winston of New CV, has been writing CVs and LinkedIn profiles since 2013 but her first career was in sales in the advertising and then video post-production industries. She has been trained in the best and worst of sales techniques and instinctively knew from day one which felt more comfortable.

Her training will be: "Sales for Non Salesy People"

Training Content: The concept of selling can often be accompanied by an uncomfortable feeling of being pushy and unpleasant but selling is an essential part of being a business owner. Learn how to overcome the “ick” by re-framing how you think about Sales and understanding how selling can help your customers.
