What a month!

A record breaking month here at Tanya Absalom Mortgages.

Thank you to all my clients who have trusted me to work literally day and night to secure the best products possible whilst rates have been changing daily.

Here's hoping things will settle soon but a reminder to get in touch as soon as possible to review your mortgage if you have a rate ending before September.

It's a good thing I love my job isn't it!?

Please keep getting in touch if you have an offer accepted on a property or you have a rate ending in the next 4-6 months so we can secure the best rate possible. I have extremely limited appointments left for March.

Unfortunately rates are still rising due to global instability, probably also impacted by the Bank of England indicating the possibility of rate rises towards the end of the year although this is speculation for now.

Bank of England rates held at 3.75% today which was expected even though a few weeks ago I was hopeful for a reduction.

Fixed rates are unfortunately still on the rise with most lenders.

If you have a product ending between now and August you need to be booking that remortgage appointment now so you can secure the best deal available.

I can track a rate down, I cannot secure a rate that disappears.

We are still seeing lenders increasing rates regularly.

If you have a rate ending in the next 3 months please get in touch asap so we can discuss securing you the best rate available.

We can always look to swap the product if a rate reduction becomes available before the switch date.

We cannot secure a rate once it is pulled.

What a venue ❤️ the stunning Billingsgate Vaults. The hotel view was just as beautiful.

Catching up with over 70 lenders, insurers and partner companies, old colleagues and friends.

The conference was amazing, listening to inspiring speakers - a highlight was the session by David Fishwick the phenomenal man behind 'The Bank of Dave' and I was truly shocked at the statistics within the generational behaviour seminar around devices, social media and the link to loss of concentration and basic skills such as writing, reading, holding a conversation and social awareness.

But the highlight was the amazing team of ladies I am lucky enough to call friends. A powerhouse of Welsh mortgage businesses between us all.
