You wouldn’t believe it but even a policy taken out a couple of years ago may have advanced and today if you took that same policy, you could be covered for way more conditions.

This could be things like less advanced cancer, hospital cover, diabetes and cover for people using weight loss medications.

We have access to things you can’t get yourself directly or on a comparison site.

This is why you should review your policy! We hadn’t reviewed ours for years and came unstuck.

You pay into a policy so you want it to pay out when you need it. Otherwise it’s pointless and a waste of your hard earned cash. Don’t be confused, I do all the work and make it easy for you. That’s my job.

If you haven’t reviewed your life insurance, critical illness or income protection policies in the last few years - You really should!

Every year we review our utilities, home insurance, pet insurance, car insurance.. but not ourselves.

I genuinely don’t think people really understand the importance of doing so… We didn’t understand.. and when we needed it, we didn’t have what we thought we had.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kim Mulgrew from mydentist Avanti at Preston Farm. Kim gave me a tour and told me all about the fantastic services they offer. This is a team of dentists, nurses and admin staff who have customer satisfaction at the forefront of everything they do. I learnt about implants and teeth whitening and Kim was telling me all about the customer journey. Sometimes people have no confidence because of their teeth but go away smiling and confident. They offer payment plans, discounts and open days. I would honestly say, go along to one of their open days and just have a chat with them. The possibilities are endless.

Why is life insurance and critical illness cover important?

Well 12 years ago my 41 year old relative went to work like any other day.

He fell only 10ft from a ladder, but landed on a his head. He had a serious brain injury and was in a coma for weeks. In the blink of an eye, his life and his families life turned upside down.

He had a life and critical illness policy in place that cleared his mortgage. He also had an income protection policy in place that paid him a monthly benefit (60% of his wages) for 5 years.

Guys, Life insurance is not a luxury it’s a must, for you and your family. 

Income protection is an even bigger must! If you have no income, you can’t pay for your life insurance, your mortgage, your essential outgoings.

Imagine going through what my cousin went through and not having any policies in place! The family were reliant on his wages.

Mental health affects us all and is talked about out way more than it used to be. We underestimate how things can affect us.
