👷"I didn't think I'd be able to get a mortgage because I'm CIS..."
That's something I hear more often than you might think.
A recent client working under the CIS scheme had been told they would struggle to borrow enough because they weren't employed in the traditional sense.
After reviewing their income properly, we used a lender that assesses CIS contractors differently. Rather than relying solely on tax calculations, they were able to use the client's gross CIS income, which significantly increased the amount they could borrow.
The way lenders assess income can vary hugely, especially for CIS workers, self-employed applicants and contractors. Knowing which lenders fit your circumstances can make a real difference.
