Last week, we invited our colleagues to share a couple of things they are proud to be part of at work and the response was fantastic.

From contributing to important projects and supporting one another, to helping improve the services we provide, it was inspiring to see so many colleagues take a moment to recognise the value of what they do every day.

We’re proud to continue working in partnership with Melton and District Money Advice Centre, a local money advice charity helping people across Melton Mowbray and surrounding areas build confidence with money.

In March 2026, our partnership reached an important milestone, visiting and returning to every mainstream school in the Melton Borough, supporting pupils with practical, age appropriate money management sessions.

So far this year, 10,204 pupils and adults from the surrounding community have taken part in sessions covering everything from needs and wants, bank accounts and spending personalities to setting financial goals, the environment and spending.

From children as young as four to adults in their 70s, the sessions are designed to make money conversations accessible, engaging and relevant, whether that’s in a classroom of 30, an assembly of a few hundred or a small group session.

We’re delighted to support a partnership that is making such a positive difference locally, helping people of all ages feel more informed and confident about managing their money.
