Training is well underway for our Yorkshire Three Peaks team!

20 of our colleagues have been putting in the miles with training and practice hikes ahead of the challenge this September, all while working towards a collective fundraising target of £5,000 for The Christie Charity.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our much-loved colleague and friend, Oji Agamah.

Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Oji knew him to be kind-hearted, gentle and deeply considerate of others. His warmth and quiet strength are among the many things we will always remember about him.

Our thoughts remain with his family, friends and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

Supporting our communities is just as important to us as supporting our clients.
As part of our Quarter 2 Community Funding Initiative, we’re pleased to have awarded £500 to both Support Dogs and GM4Women2028. Each organisation is making a meaningful difference in very different ways, from providing life-changing assistance dogs to improving opportunities for women and girls across Greater Manchester.

Last weekend, Zoe Hall, one of our Employee Benefits Administrators, swapped her bike for a volunteer’s vest at the Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride to support The Christie Charity.

Although injury meant she couldn’t take part this year, she was still there to cheer riders on and lend a hand. As she put it, it was “a much more relaxed atmosphere than being anxious to ride” - although still incredibly busy!

A great reminder that there are many ways to support a cause event. Well done to everyone who took part.

It was a pleasure to join the pro-manchester team in celebrating their 40th anniversary last week and everything they’ve achieved over the past four decades.

Having been part of the pro-manchester community for many years, it’s always great to spend time with familiar faces, catch up with fellow businesses and celebrate the relationships that make Greater Manchester’s business community so strong.

A huge congratulations to the entire pro-manchester team on such a fantastic event, and here’s to the next 40 years.

A brilliant afternoon out at our Summer Social.

We kicked things off with an update from our Managing Director, Paul Stones, reflecting on everything we’ve achieved so far this year and sharing what we’re working towards over the coming months.

Then the energy shifted as Red Cactus Events took over with Betrayers. It wasn’t long before the room was filled with strategy, suspicion and a healthy dose of competition, making for a memorable afternoon.

A big thank you to Emma Downey for organising the event, and to Red Cactus Events for delivering such an enjoyable experience. It was a fantastic opportunity to spend time together as a team away from the office!

What a fantastic first Future in Finance Work Experience Week.

It was a pleasure to introduce a fantastic group of students to the financial services profession, offering an insight into the many career paths available and, hopefully, opening their eyes to opportunities they may not have considered before. Thank you to each of the students for your enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to get involved throughout the week. We wish you every success for the future.

A huge thank you also goes to our colleagues across Pareto and , who gave their time to present, share their experiences and provide an honest insight into working in financial services. Your support, knowledge and enthusiasm played a huge part in making the week such a success, helping students understand how every department contributes to the client journey.

A special thank you to Georgia Prescott from Robert Walters plc , Faye McDougall from .group, Luke Ettenfield-Nann from Knight Corporate Finance and Bill Begley from the The CISI for joining us and sharing your expertise. Your sessions gave students a broader understanding of the industry and the many different routes into a career in financial services.

We’re incredibly proud of what was achieved during our first Future in Finance Work Experience Week and can’t wait to welcome another group of students next year.
