Payroll Administrator / Trainee Payroll Administrator - JOB OPPORTUNITY
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications – Minimum Wage – 25k - With a progression path for future roles and earnings.
Office – Glossop (30 minutes from Stockport and 30 minutes by train from Manchester)
Hybrid Basis – Home and office based
June start date – negotiable for right candidate

We are a payroll bureau based in Glossop looking after several hundred clients, and we are looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator or a trainee Payroll Administrator to join our team from June.
We are experiencing a period of rapid growth as a result of our dynamic marketing and sales activities and our enthusiastic young payroll team are needing an additional member.
It is a fast-paced working environment working with a friendly team made up of another 5 people.
The role is a hybrid position of 3 days in our Glossop Office and 2 days working from home (equipment will be provided). Further working from home is available as experience is gained.
The Candidate
This is a great opportunity for either an experienced, forward thinking payroll administrator or someone looking for a career change, who wants to learn and potentially progress, to join a growing and exciting company. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to details, good customer service skills, strong technology skills and be open to embracing new and changing ways of working. Current technical knowledge of legislation and the payroll sector is desirable, but we are looking for the right candidate who wants to come in and grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Payroll processing from start to finish, including entering starters, processing leavers, processing pay runs, managing auto enrolment, etc.
• Ensuring client portfolio is processed accurately and ontime
• Ensuring all BACS clients staff and PAYE payments are processed on time.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation.
• Ensure that all customer enquiries are answered promptly.
• Training new team members to complete end to end payroll and payroll legislation.
• Informing clients of new legislation.
• Continuously looking for new and better ways of doing things.
• Managing pensions accounts.
• Ad hoc duties.
