Let’s Start the Conversation About Debt
This week is Debt Awareness Week, a national campaign to encourage people to talk openly about money worries and seek help early.
The message is simple: Debt doesn’t define you.
Debt can happen to anyone. Unexpected bills, job loss, illness, relationship breakdown, or rising living costs can quickly put pressure on finances.
Research by Stepchange shows more than half of people in the UK have experienced problem debt at some point, yet many people struggle in silence because of embarrassment or fear of judgement.
At The Debt Advice Service, we see first-hand how taking the first step and talking to someone can relieve huge stress.
If money worries are keeping you awake at night, remember:
You are not alone, and support is available.
