Good News! The regulator has confirmed that anyone who had the discretionary fee in their agreement will be paid out early 2026. Average payout will be around £700. I’ve submitted loads of these for family and friends but even if you haven’t submitted one they will have to write to you by approximately June of 2026, so in theory if you don’t do anything you will still be paid. You will get paid quicker by sending an email to the finance provider though, go in Martin Lewis website and copy the template he has for miss old finance.

Recent ruling on the finance claims. Whilst the media portray it as a win for the finance companies, it actually isn’t. Basically the original hidden discussion fees are still to be paid out, the additional claims that company’s were looking to claim for have been rejected.

If you had the hidden discretion fee on your policy, it’s likely you will be paid out towards the end of this year, beginning of next, although that’s a best guess 💰💰💰

Still no decision on the discretionary fee or finance claims! The case was heard in the Supreme Court back in April. In layman’s terms the finance companies are trying to wriggle out of paying anything out, word on the street is it’s a delaying tactic whilst they get their finances in order. Motor finance claims!

We have had well over 200 enquiries into motor finance claims. The average is around 50/50 for policies that had a hidden discretion fee.

The ruling is currently being challenged through the courts, but word on the grapevine is it’s going to be a massive pay out and the delay is more for the insurers to get their finances sorted than anything else.

Most Solicitors are charging 30/40/50% on successful claims…we will do them for 10%.
