Finances can have a huge impact on our mental and emotional wellbeing. Life factors, such as, unemployment, breakdown of relationships, and wider social issues e.g. cost-of living crisis and social pressures can force people into debt.
Debt can leave us feeling anxious, isolated and make it hard for us to do the things we enjoy or give our body and mind the break it needs. Unfortunately, this can create a cycle where financial worries affect our mental health, and poor mental health in turn makes it even harder to tackle the issue of debt.
It is important to remember that this cycle can be broken and you don't have to go through it alone. In our latest blog (weblink in bio) 📖 we tackle some of the broader conversations around mental health and debt, and we list the many organisations we work with and the support services we offer at UKDS, to better help you find your way as you navigate your financial journey towards debt freedom.
