A fantastic day in Manchester yesterday for the St. James's Place Partnership Connect Conference.

Our team joined colleagues from across the Partnership for a packed programme of keynote presentations, breakout sessions and networking opportunities, providing plenty of fresh insights, thought-provoking discussions and valuable connections.

One of the highlights was seeing our COO, Sarah Healey, take to the stage alongside Andy Mills and Greg Middleton to discuss how AI and technology are helping businesses work smarter, drive greater efficiency and enhance the client experience.

Events like these are a great opportunity to share ideas, learn from others and stay ahead of the changes shaping our profession. A big thank you to everyone involved in delivering such an engaging and insightful day.

Libby has been promoted to Senior Client Administrator, recognising the dedication, professionalism and attention to detail she brings to her role every day. Her unwavering support for both clients and colleagues has made her an invaluable member of the team.

Liam has stepped into the role of Head of Admin & Paraplanning, where he will lead our administration and paraplanning teams as we continue to enhance the service and support we provide to our clients and advisers.

Holly has been promoted to Marketing Director, reflecting her significant contribution to the business and her leadership of Capstone's marketing strategy, brand development and communications.

These promotions are a testament to the talent, commitment and hard work that Libby, Liam and Holly consistently demonstrate. We're incredibly proud to see them grow within the business and look forward to seeing all they achieve in the years ahead.

Last week, our Protection Manager, Chris Smith, alongside advisers Leanne Berry, Scott Howarth-Pash and Gary Morgan attended an Income Protection Action Week (IPAW) event hosted by Vitality UK at its Stockport head office.

IPAW is an annual industry initiative that shines a spotlight on the important role income protection can play in helping individuals and families maintain financial security if illness or injury prevents them from working.

The team joined fellow advisers from across the profession for an afternoon of learning, networking and idea sharing, including the final IPAW webinar, discussions on best practice, and practical ways to encourage more meaningful client conversations around protection.

One message stood out throughout the event: for many people, their income is their greatest financial asset, yet it can also be one of the most overlooked when it comes to protection planning.

Thank you to the Vitality team for hosting and facilitating such valuable discussions.

Last week, Daniel Healey and Gary Morgan joined gunnercooke Partners at their annual Symposium in Oxford.

Partnering with Summit Chartered Accountants, we served hundreds of coffees from our coffee cart while catching up with partners from across the business. The conversations, insights and feedback were invaluable, and a reminder of the collaborative culture that continues to make gunnercooke such a unique firm.

From thought-provoking discussions on the future of professional services and AI to the spectacular black-tie dinner at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, it was a fantastic event from start to finish.
