That's all folks!
If you have any writing instruments to recycle you'll now need to drop them off to your local branch of Ryman, Maidstone branch is in Earl Street.
The last lot of pens I managed to send in was just over 19 kgs, that means I can donate another £19.40 to Demelza Charity ,not a lot, but every penny counts!
I will continue to collect inkjet cartridges for Breast Cancer Kent so please keep dropping them off to me.

Sadly are changing the terms of this recycling scheme.

If you are one of the schools or offices currently dropping off to me, please drop any remaining writing instruments to me before the August bank holiday weekend. After this date you will need to drop them if to specified retail outlets.

I'd like to thank you all for your support to date. You have helped me support, in a small way, the wonderful and through schemes like this.

Ultimately, this will leave me collecting only inkjet cartridges going forward in support of , and I will continue to do so as long as I can.

I will be closing down my social media accounts to concentrate on my personal goals in the not too distant future.

Huge thanks to everyone who has backed me up on this crazy ride. Special thanks to my husband first putting up with my junk in the garage.

Sadly, this scheme is closing. If you have any donations for this particular recycling stream, the last date I will accept donations will be Saturday, 20th January.

Yay!
Another box of broken pens was sent off to last week, and it earned 1748 points... that's worth £17.48 for charity. These points will be converted into cash next year and be donated directly to , so please keep sending me your rubbish for recycling.

This one might cause a divorce!! My poor, long-suffering husband tolerates my recycling so well!
However, this one has been a long time coming, and I'm happy to be a local collector. I'll be donating this years points to so get collecting! Rummage through those cupboards and have a clear out!

How much do you think this box weighs??

1. Locate a sturdy box not bigger than 60x60x50cm.
2. Put all your discarded writing instruments in the box. No gluesticks or pencils though.
3. Make sure your box weighs over 15kgs but no more than 20kg,
4. Contact me for a shipping label.
5. I email you a shipping label and instructions.
6. UPS collect your box.
7. recycle all that stuff and convert the weight of the shipment into points.
8. Points are converted into a cash value, which then gets donated to charity twice a year. 1kg = £1
9. The world thanks you for keeping more plastic out of landfill! 🌏

When I'm given new items that can't be recycled through my usual channels, what do i do? I'm going to sell them on eBay with 100% going to charity. Breast Cancer Kent don't have any charity shops, so this is a great way that I can continue to support them! Perhaps add a donation on your next listing too? 💞💕

Another shipment of inkjet cartridges is about to be sent off to be recycled and raise funds for a local charity...
Not all of these will raise money, but each and every one will be recycled and kept out of landfill.

On the list of things that irritate me, and can be easily resolved, if common sense is used....

Sadly as these items were not put inside the collection banks they are likely to be recycled as rags, or worse, binned! Likelihood is that all this overspill was soaked and dirty too, giving it little value to the collectors...

Simple steps: bag it, put in recycling bin. If bin is full, pop back another day. Even better, call the number and report the full bin! This lot was cleared 24 hours after I made the call 😁
