Some exciting news for First time buyers!
Halifax are launching a £5k deposit mortgage on Monday the 18th of May. That's £5k and not 5%!!!!. The maximum purchase price is £300k, so this is huge. 5% on a £300k property would be £15k, but they will be accepting just £5k deposits (must be own savings and evidenced, gifted deposit not accepted).
Affordability criteria still needs to be met and this is available to both employed and self-employed.

Surgery all done. Unfortunately wasn't able to get home yesterday as blood pressure low, pain and sickness has kept me in another night. Huge shout out though to all the staff at the SWAH as every one of them is amazing, kind and compassionate. Got to try and get up and out of the bed today and get more mobile so hopefully I'll be home soon.

Am heading in to have surgery today so going to be off work for a while to recover. I hope to be well enough to get back online working remotely in a couple of weeks, but I won't be aloud to drive for at least 6 weeks so won't be out visiting clients for a while.
