Brightwells Plant & Machinery Auctioneers Auctioning a wide selection of equipment including construction plant, agricultural, grounds care, ATVs, heavy plant and municipal and standard HGVs.

Brightwells 40-acre auction site at Madley near Hereford is recognised internationally for staging one of the most important plant and machinery sales in Europe. With buyers and sellers from throughout the UK and Europe as well as Asia, Africa and The Americas, this monthly fixture catalogues a massive selection of items for sale. The Madley site is ideally equipped to accommodate thousands of lots and to host the hundreds of clients who attend from around the world. Sales offer a wide selection of equipment including construction plant, agricultural, grounds care, ATVs and heavy plant as well as a wide variety of municipal and standard heavy goods vehicles. A major aspect of the business at Madley centres on the supply of “direct” equipment from blue chip sources, such as premium lease and finance houses, Government and other company suppliers. Brightwells hold contracts with the Royal Mail and the Environment Agency as well as a large range of local authority and financial institutions.

📍 Madley, Herefordshire (HR2 9NH)

We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Plant Fitter to join our busy Plant & Machinery team at Madley.

This is a varied, hands-on role working with a wide range of construction, agricultural and heavy plant machinery. Responsibilities include carrying out inspections and servicing, diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, preparing machinery for auction, and assisting with the movement, loading and unloading of equipment around the site.

Previous experience working with plant machinery and good practical mechanical knowledge are essential. A Level 3 qualification in Plant Maintenance & Repair, Agricultural Engineering or similar, along with experience operating telehandlers, excavators, loaders, dumpers or tractors, would be advantageous.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering varied work and opportunities for further training and development.
