With the Festive Season now open us, it's time for the team to take a break and recharge their batteries. So our office will be open on limited hours over this time.

SILKLIFE FOODBANK APPEAL - with Christmas fast approaching, we wanted to highlight the wonderful work that Silklife Foodbank in Macclesfield do, in helping those less fortunate.

So we'll be taking up a collection throughout November at the agency to present to Silklife at the end of the month.

If you have any non-perishable food items you'd like to donate, you can drop them off directly to the Agency throughout the month and we'll add them to the collection.

This week highlights and celebrates the incredible work hospices do - providing compassionate care to those who need it most.

We’re proud to say that we recently nominated East Cheshire Hospice to receive a donation of £7,899 from NFU Mutual’s Agency Giving Fund to support their vital work.

These contributions help ensure individuals receive vital support and care at the end of their lives.

Today marks the final day of Farm Safety Week, an important annual safety awareness campaign from Yellow Wellies, the Farm Safety Foundation.

In the last ten years, almost one person a week has been killed as a direct result of agricultural work. Many more have been seriously injured or made ill by their work.

FARM SAFETY WEEK - Running from the 21st to 25th July, the 13th edition of Farm Safety Week kicks off tomorrow. This important campaign, run by the Farm Safety Foundation and supported by NFU Mutual, helps to raise awareness, inspire change and encourage everyone living and working in the industry to make farms safer places to work, to live and to visit.

FESTIVALS, FETES & FAIRS - It's that time of the year, where people turn up in droves, with towns and villages turning in to showgrounds for various festivals, fetes and fairs.

NFU Mutual are big supporters of local events up and down the country, with the Macclesfield Agency also doing it's bit to support these vital local events.

Whether it's the Wincle Fete, Macc Beer Festival or Cheshire County Show, we're out and about, supporting the local community and flying the flag for the Agency and the Mutual.

So if you're looking for something to do this weekend, get out and find a local event near you, like the Wincle Beer Festival or Langley Village Fete.

We are delighted to announce that NFU Mutual Macclesfield Agency have partnered with East Cheshire Hospice, as a lead corporate donor for their Bed Appeal '25.

Local agents Jordan Parnell and Nicholas Cooper recently presented a cheque for £7,899.00 as part of this years NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund.

After 10 years of constant use, their specialist beds and mattresses are no longer fit for use and require replacement. These beds are a vital piece of equipment in end of life care, so it's important that they're replaced so that patients can continue to receive the first class compassionate care that every person deserves.

At a cost of nearly £6,000 each, and with all 16 beds needing replacement, we couldn't think of a more deserving cause to support this year that has such a major impact.
