🥇 We’re seeing another strong move from lenders this week, with a compelling new incentive launching later today.

😍 Effective from Thursday 4th June 2026 at 5:30pm, a new 1% cashback remortgage range will be available across Single Unit, Multi-Unit, and Specialist products, with lending up to 75% LTV.

Borrowers can choose between:
💷 A standard five-year fixed rate with a 2.99% fee
🔐 A limited edition five-year fixed rate with a 5.99% fee

🔑 The cashback offer provides 1% of the net loan amount, paid within two weeks of completion. This is subject to a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £20,000, increasing up to £50,000 for larger portfolio cases up to £5 million.

📝 UK inflation has surprised on the downside – but the story isn’t as simple as one good number.

🇬🇧 Inflation drops to 2.8%
CPI fell from 3.3% to 2.8%, mainly thanks to a lower Ofgem energy price cap feeding through to bills.

But this could be a short‑term dip. If energy costs and the price cap rise again from July, inflation may drift back up rather than glide neatly to 2%.

🏡 What it means for mortgages
The fall in inflation eases immediate pressure on the Bank of England to hike again, but it’s too early to bank on rapid rate cuts. Fixed‑rate mortgage pricing may stay choppy for now.
