Are you confident handling broker enquiries, navigating lending criteria and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment? 📞🏦
We're recruiting on behalf of our client, an established specialist lender, for a Broker Support professional to join their Manchester-based team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a busy, telephone-focused position where you'll play an important role in supporting brokers, internal sales teams and external distribution partners, ensuring queries are resolved efficiently and the right lending outcomes are achieved.
🔑 Your responsibilities will include:
🔹 Acting as a key point of contact for broker enquiries via telephone and webchat
🔹 Reviewing lending scenarios and providing guidance on policy and criteria
🔹 Assessing cases and delivering timely, commercially focused decisions
🔹 Supporting brokers with lending systems, processes and applications
🔹 Developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
🔹 Recognising recurring queries and identifying opportunities for improvement
🔹 Contributing to improvements across lending processes and service delivery

✔️ Experience within mortgage lending, broker support or financial services
✔️ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✔️ Confidence managing high volumes of calls and enquiries

We're recruiting on behalf of a specialist lender for an experienced Portfolio BTL & Commercial Underwriter to join their established underwriting function in North Hertfordshire.
If you have the experience and judgement to assess complex lending opportunities and enjoy having real responsibility for credit decisions, this could be a fantastic opportunity to progress your underwriting career.
🔑 Key responsibilities:
🔹 Underwrite a range of Portfolio BTL and Commercial mortgage cases
🔹 Review financial information, lending structures and supporting documentation
🔹 Produce accurate and concise lending summaries
🔹 Make lending decisions within your delegated authority
🔹 Escalate recommendations to the Head of Underwriting, Director of Credit & Underwriting or Credit Committee when appropriate
🔹 Balance commercial opportunities with responsible credit risk management
🔹 Collaborate with brokers and internal stakeholders throughout the underwriting process
🎯 What we're looking for:
✔️ Strong Portfolio BTL and Commercial underwriting experience
✔️ Excellent understanding of credit assessment and lending policy
