From the stone age to the industrial age to the information age, and the post-digital era we are living in, society has been experiencing a process of endogenous structural growth under the law of decreasing entropy. The new civilization will appear and when that occurs, it implies the collapse of the current civilization. The current system will then dissipate a lot of energy out to allow more information in. When the next entropic tide ebbs, civilization will be re-defined.
