Today, we joined the family of Felix Koskei at the funeral of his sister, Esther Chebet Rugut of Saramek village, Soy Constituency. Gogo Esther was a consummate community member, as those who knew her closely testified. May the lord comfort the family in these difficult moments. Rest in Peace, Gogo Esther.

Today we joined the Deputy President, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH , Businessman Dr. David Lang'at and the members of the ACK church at St. Mark's church grounds for a fundraiser towards the completion of 10 churches. Also present was Nandi County Governor Stephen Sang, CS, Roads Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen, Nandi Senator Senator Kiprotich Cherargei, Sports PS Hon. Peter Tum and several leaders from Nandi County and beyond.

Kevin Kiptum was one of the finest sportsmen of our time. His athletic prowess is evident from the Chicago Marathon where he set a new record. We've lost a great man as a country. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Kiptum.

It's with great sadness that I have learned about the passing of the Chief of Defense Forces, General Francis Ogolla. General Ogolla was a great man and I was happy to have called him a friend. My condolences to the families of General Ogolla and his colleagues Brigadier Said, Colonel Keitany, Captain Sora, Sergeant Omondi, Captain Litali, Sergeant Nyawera, and Colonel Sawe. The country has indeed lost a gallant soldier.
