Last week Liontrust welcomed students from Kingston University to our work shadowing programme, offering them a hands-on introduction to the financial services industry. They met with teams throughout the business for interactive Q&A sessions, providing students with a better understanding of how a fund management company operates and the critical role active management plays. The students wrapped up the week by presenting their learnings to the Liontrust team.

We would like to thank all the staff and students involved in the programme, and we wish every student great success in their studies and as they advance in their future careers.

The lions at London Zoo were treated to a special enrichment party to celebrate this year’s World Lion Day! The wild Asiatic lion population has grown from 300 in 1990 to almost 900 today, but their future still needs protecting.

For more than a decade, Liontrust has partnered with ZSL to help safeguard this species through conservation and breeding programmes.

Well done to our colleagues who recently took part in the Cazenove Office Chair Grand Prix 2025 — a fast-paced, fun-filled event supporting IntoUniversity, a charity that supports young people in achieving their potential through education.

The team powered through 54 laps in 45 minutes, finishing mid-table and only breaking one office chair in the process! 🦁

This Mother’s Day, we celebrated Arya, an Endangered Asiatic lioness at London Zoo, and her three cubs. On Friday morning, the pride woke to find specially wrapped presents, each scented with spices like dried cloves and ginger - designed by zookeepers to encourage use of their senses and enrich their environment.

Moments like these highlight the expert care and commitment behind ZSL’s conservation work. With fewer than 700 Asiatic lions remaining in the wild, Liontrust is proud to be a long-standing partner of ZSL, supporting its mission to protect the species through long-term conservation and education - ranging from fieldwork in India’s Gir Forest to the immersive Land of the Lions exhibit in London.

Fever-Tree has been an extraordinary growth story over the past two decades, having started with the idea of creating premium mixers to complement premium spirits. The company has now expanded into more than 90 countries and is the number one mixer brand by value in the UK, as well as the market leader in tonic water and ginger beer in the US.

In this episode of the Stock Exchanges podcast, Victoria Stevens talks to Tim Warrillow, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of Fever-Tree Drinks, about the fascinating journey, from sourcing miraculous quinine in the depths of the Democratic Republic of Congo (literally staring down the wrong end of a Kalashnikov), through Fever-Tree being included in one of the dishes on El Bulli’s world famous tasting menu, to a recently-signed strategic partnership with Molson Coors Beverage Company.

Liontrust has launched its charitable foundation with two objectives and has selected an initial three charities with which to partner. One objective is to promote Social Mobility and Entrepreneurship and the other is to promote Conservation and Nature Recovery.

The first three charity partners of the Liontrust Foundation are Social Ark under Social Mobility and Entrepreneurship, and Growing Well and Sea-Changers under Conservation and Nature Recovery.

Simon Hildrey, Chair of the Liontrust Foundation, said: “The Liontrust Foundation was set up with the intention of empowering social mobility and preserving and recovering nature in ways that are not available through investments in public markets.”
