What are the biggest changes we have seen in the UK property market?

With the change in government, we are seeing more controls being introduced into the rental market. But historically, when more controls are added, the outcome is often the opposite of what is intended.

Less supply.
More pressure.
Higher rents.

Not exactly what policymakers set out to achieve. Looking ahead, Chris believes we could see another shift. With the potential for a Reform UK government in the future, and their stance on removing rental reforms, there is a strong chance that changes coming in May may not be long term.

Regardless of political views, one thing remains constant - policy impacts the market, but fundamentals drive it.
