The Old Oak regeneration scheme will transform 31 hectares of brownfield land into a thriving West London district and with it deliver 8,000 new and affordable homes, new parks, workspaces, community amenities and thousands of new jobs.

The regeneration will also strengthen connections between Old Oak and established communities in Harlesden, Park Royal and North Acton to create a strong sense of place built on the character of these surrounding areas.

Weโ€™re now looking for a Private Sector Partner to work with to deliver this transformational change to the area. This is an exciting new stage of the scheme, and we hope to have selected a partner by early 2027.

If you have any questions about what this stage of the scheme means for you, come and speak to our team at our Community drop-in

After taking on the print works, Chino would like to see the space become a place that's accessible to everyone, where they can experiment with creativity through printmaking.

Most of London is built on a layer of clay. Construction works across the capital dig up tonnes and tonnes of clay every year, and this is often discarded or sent to landfill.

Rescued Clay are a community organisation, working hard to salvage clay from local construction sites and use it to create everyday products and pieces of art. We caught up with Prashant Patel, founder of Rescued Clay, who told us a little bit more about what it means to be working as a community to make things out of this important, natural material.

Park Royal artist, Chino Ridge, has recently been selected as one of two Quinn Emanuel Arts Foundation artists in residency over the spring and summer.

Last week, we went to visit her in her new central London studio. After studying silversmithing and working with vitreous enamel, Chino has now moved into working with kimono silks. She told us a bit about the pieces she's been working on using fabrics she inherited from her mother.

Check out her Instagram page for more about her work:
