The ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ก๐ถ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ has featured Argus Mediaโs perspective on how geopolitical disruption is reshaping global oil and fuel trade flows ๐.
Commenting on current market dynamics, ๐๐น๐น๐ถ๐ผ๐ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐น๐ฒ๐, Vice President, Business Development, Oil at Argus Media, said:
โAlternative supply hubs in the Atlantic basin, such as West Africa and Latin America, have come under increased focus in recent weeks as the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to crude and refined products tanker traffic.โ
He also noted that crude grades produced in Guyana and Brazil are increasingly attractive to refiners because of their quality and versatility.
Argus analysis highlights West Africa, particularly Nigeria, as an increasingly strategic supplier, supported by its central geography, availability of medium crudes and rising domestic refining activity. Growing jet fuel exports from Nigeria are also helping to ease supply tightness in Europe as buyers adjust to shifting trade routes.
