After our recent win at the International CSR Excellence Awards, Your Local Guardian have published a piece on the story behind Caridon.

It goes back to 2009, when our CEO Mario Carrozzo housed a homeless friend in Croydon. Caridon has since supported over 20,000 vulnerable people, including those facing homelessness, domestic abuse survivors and families in need.

A Croydon social housing provider founded after its creator helped a homeless alcoholic friend has won an international award.

We’re preparing to launch Tenant Satisfaction Measures across our housing portfolio, with the first installations going live today.

Following several months of preparation, real time tenant feedback terminals will be installed at two of our largest sites, Imperial Apartments in Bristol and Sutherland Quarters in Crawley, with materials already in place across a further 12 sites.

The aim is to make it easier for tenants to share how they feel about our services, in a way that is simple, accessible and immediate. Responses are collated using AI supported reporting, allowing our teams to see issues as they arise and act quickly where attention is needed.

While we are not a registered provider, we choose to hold ourselves to the same standards of transparency and accountability. Hearing directly from the people who live in our homes is an essential part of how we improve what we do.

As we head into New Year’s Eve,  we want to pause and reflect on what we have achieved together as One Caridon.

This has been a year full of impact and pride. We were honoured to win ESTAS Gold for Best Letting Agent in the South East, alongside recognition for our CSR Accreditation, and finalist status at the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards. Caridon Young Living had a standout year too, winning at the The Great British Care Awards, with Kryss Kamara recognised for Women Achieving Greatness, Rising Star.

Beyond awards, the difference made has been real and lasting. Together, we have housed over 15,000 homeless and vulnerable people. That is 15,000 lives positively changed.

We are also proud of the charitable efforts across the group. From our founder and CEO Mario Carrozzo raising over £38,000 for charity through endurance challenges, to teams rallying support for causes close to their hearts, these efforts reflect who we are.

This year mattered. The work done across the group reached people who genuinely needed stability, care, and support, and that is something we do not take lightly. As we step into the year ahead, we carry that responsibility, pride and the confidence that there is more good work still to do.

As 2025 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to thank our clients and partners for the trust, support, and collaboration throughout the year.

It’s been a year of steady progress and shared wins, and we genuinely value the relationships that have helped make that possible. We look forward to continuing the journey together and building on this momentum in 2026.

This week we have been hosting our resident Christmas parties across our developments, bringing some festive cheer to the communities we manage.
 
Yesterday’s event at Sutherland Quarters in Crawley was a great success. Huge credit to Loren and Jack for all the hard work behind the scenes. Their effort made the day run smoothly and created a really lovely atmosphere for residents and families.
 
There was snow, Santa, presents and pizza all round, with the snow machine being a clear favourite with the children. A special guest appearance from Santa, brilliantly played by Christopher from Prestige Security Ltd added to the fun.
 
A big thank you as well to Paula Knott and the team from West Sussex County Council Early Help Mid Sussex Team for running the crafting corner and keeping the kids happily entertained throughout the event.
 
It was one of those afternoons that reminded us why these events matter. Seeing residents relax, kids enjoying themselves and everyone coming together made all the planning worth it.

A slightly overdue update, but one we are still incredibly proud to share.
Caridon has won Gold for the ninth year in a row at the , taking home:
• Gold in the Letting Agent Tenant Awards – South East (Surrey)
• Best in County Lettings (Tenants) – Surrey
These awards mean so much because they’re based entirely on tenant feedback. To receive even more votes this year is a huge compliment to our team, who work tirelessly to make every tenant’s experience smooth, transparent and reliable.
A massive thank you to our tenants for their trust and support, and to our incredible team for keeping standards high year after year.

Good food, good people, and a well-earned pause before Christmas.
We brought the team together for our Caridon Christmas social last Friday, a chance to wind down, catch up, and reflect on a busy year.

A big thank you to Haweli Group for kindly sponsoring the lunch. The food was spot on and very much appreciated by the whole team.

As a social housing group, Christmas is always a time that reminds us why our work matters. Supporting vulnerable people and providing homes will always sit at the heart of what we do.

Thanks to everyone at Caridon for another strong year. Wishing you all a peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year.

Caridon Christmas Countdown. 6 days to go! As Christmas approaches, we are sending carefully chosen presents to all of the children’s homes we support. This is just a snapshot of what is heading out across our homes, including gaming chairs, trainers, jackets, arts and crafts, teddies, clothes, mirrors and weighted blankets. Thoughtful, practical and chosen with the young people in mind.
Many young people will be spending the holidays at our homes across London and the South East, supported by Caridon Young Living in a safe, positive environment focused on independence and confidence.

Thanks to Monique, our amazing Community Engagement Officer, residents enjoyed:
• African & Caribbean food tastings
• A Black literature display with Horsham Library
• Black Panther movie night
• Music, culture, and stories celebrating Black excellence
From inspiring books like the Little Leaders series to posters honouring Black pioneers, it was a week full of learning, pride, and fun.
