It would be rude not to support the launch of 'The Wick Book', since the first Wick Paper was born to coincide with our festival! đ
We hope you can join us this Thursday 4th December 2025, to do what we do best, 'Celebrate Art and Support Community!'. Hopefully a chance to reconnect with old and new faces from the Wick - can't wait to check out the book in print and bring back some special memories of this ever-changing landscape and ecosystem.
Here's a message from the Author and contributors:
"After 15 years of being in The Wick and what started off as a newspaper published to coincide with Hackney Wicked Festival now ends in a hardback book. A 160 page full colour, journey through pictures, art, people and personalities that I have met, exhibited, photographed and published over the years.
I'm very happy and proud to Invite you the launch and hope you like it on Thursday 4th December at the Fish Island Books pop-up at Unlock on the Canal.

The Wick Book is packed with powerful images (some never seen before) alongside fascinating stories and memories that capture the enormous transformation of Hackney Wick & Fish Island and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in the years before and after London 2012.
Please RSVP only if you are certain you will attend.
All proceeds from the sale of the book go towards ensuring a sustainable future for The Wick as a local print and digital community asset.
