ountant with over 10 years’ post-qualification experience. I qualified at a Big 4 accountancy firm before spending a number of years working in finance roles in the City. I now run a small accountancy practice in Surrey, specialising in helping small to medium-sized businesses, individuals and contractors with their accounting and tax affairs. I have experience working with a very wide range of organisations, from one-man bands, small charities and individuals, to large multi-national corporations; from newspapers to mining companies, website designers to banks, e-commerce to HR consulting. I have over 13 years’ experience in accountancy, dealing with both the very large and the very small. Having worked with a wide range of software over this time, I have a progressive approach to running my business. I operate a paperless office, including electronic signing of documents and I support various cloud accounting solutions. As a result, geographical distance has little effect on my ability to serve my clients. Running a small business myself, I have a good understanding of the problems faced by small businesses. I have been able to help my clients to overcome some of these challenges by offering sound advice alongside the statutory services I provide. I am able to offer a personal service to my clients, with communication at regular intervals, tailored to each client’s preferences.
