"Kenyan health tech startup Zuri Health has launched its operations in Senegal. The startup has partnered with Expresso Senegal to launch its operations in the country.

Expresso Senegal, a subsidiary of the Expresso Telecom group is a telecommunications operator in Senegal that offers services adapted to internet, calls and SMS with the 4G technology and business and roaming solutions."

"The currency of East Africa’s largest economy is more than 20% overvalued and likely to extend losses next year, according to Renaissance Capital, which sees fair value at 144 per dollar and projects the unit to drop to 119 next year. Still, further depreciation will probably be “contained,” easing inflationary pressures, the investment bank said in a report."

Kenya’s shilling extended losses Tuesday after falling to a record against the dollar, defying central-bank measures to stabilize the currency.

In August 2021, the National Treasury of Kenya published two legal notices affecting the Individual Retirement Benefits Scheme and Umbrella Retirement Benefits Scheme.

The legal notices have amended the access rule to allow members, before retirement age, to access a maximum of 50.0% of the total accrued pension benefits, down from the previous regulation where members could access 100.0% of their own contributions plus 50.0% of the employer's portion.

The additional clause stipulates that a trust corporation shall not appoint an administrator, fund manager, custodian or approved issuer who is related to the trust corporation by way of ownership, directorship or employment.

Bloomberg recently ran a piece that CEO’s are now adapting the words they use to cater to text parsing systems. As management knows more and more institutional clients are using alternative data tools such as transcript analysis, they are changing how they communicate to the world - but what did we expect?

If you were the CEO/CFO/COO of a public company, you would run your remarks through some of these tools before the call, just to see which fared best, and gave the best signals to others using those same tools.

If investors are using systems to analyze your update in order to decide whether to buy or sell shares in your company, why not just see what the outcome is before you even have the call?

A new era of robots reading financial statements and machines monitoring earnings calls means analysts no longer need to sweat a company’s every last word. For corporate leaders, it’s quite the opposite.
