At this week's Investor Event in Hong Kong, we outlined our sustainable growth plan, focused on supporting corporate, institutional and affluent clients where international activity is fast growing, complexity is high and our network creates the greatest value.
Across Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), we’re leveraging our unique global network to support clients through shifts in supply chains and capital flows – investing in higher‑returning areas like the financial Institutions segment and consolidating leadership in RMB, Sustainable Finance and Islamic Finance.
Roberto Hoornweg, our CEO, CIB, told attendees: "Clients value our ability to originate and transform risk through our markets and banking teams, and how the transaction services business can facilitate the seamless movement of cash, trade and custody around the global network."
Across Wealth & Retail Banking (WRB), we’re doubling down on Affluent – accelerating the timeline of our ambitions across net new money, Wealth income and Affluent income share, and investing where we have scale and a distinctive client proposition.
Speaking at the event, Judy Hsu, our CEO, WRB, said: "Our growth is built on a scalable and a durable engine, enabling us to capture the changing needs of our clients. In Asia, wealth is growing at a much faster pace than the global average, creating a larger base of Affluent clients."
