This was the filming of money piles...on the basis of NVC (Nonviolent Communication) and sharing based on needs. For ex. a mother with 7 kids and a single career lady have different needs but often that's not how we price or charge or earn. Salaries don't really ask about needs.

Actually there is a buddhist charity called Karuna in the UK and they based their salaries on needs. I admit it is quite idealistic and i love Miki's passion for this work. It does not work without a strong connection between people and trust to share money/resources on the basis of needs. anyway, i LOVE money piles so sharing...to inspire...and please share your comments to nurture the fountain of flow :)

This is the an extra gift from the series of talks that Miki Kashtan gave in August 2018 at 42 ACRES (London) in the framework of a work shop called “Social ...

A lovely evening -Christmas drinks with some clients at a historic club members club in Pall Mall.

I really love my clients- all the loveliest people and it’s so nice to see people mingling and having a good time!

I love this quote by Byron Katie: “God spare me from the desire for love, approval, and appreciation. Amen.”

Liberated from shopping obligations or compulsions? I was naturally inclined this way so it’s easy. How do you feel about buying gifts? I’m curious...

I’ve never enjoyed buying Christmas or birthday presents since I was 15/16 years old. I like giving gifts- just not out of duty, obligation or external prompts or to fit in with cultural norms or others expectations.

My family eventually have stopped expecting chocolates or gifts when I visit India from London. I did this once and didn’t enjoy it- I also got fined for extra baggage on that trip because I was opting to please everyone with my ‘generosity’ & doing favours carrying gifts for friends relatives as I could not possibly say no.

If you are shopping, I don’t have any judgement at all. Shop with as much self awareness as possible. Research shows that we enjoy the anticipation of buying more than the actual purchase. Notice what happens in your body when you buy stuff- the sensations, the pleasure of any, the accompanying thoughts and desires...your self talk about your own identity...is the gift about you or the other...any gratitude you feel for how the item was made & those involved...it’s all food for thought.

Consume and buy - only if it adds to the quality of your life.

Remember, the gift of your presence & in shared experiences is also very enjoyable.

Ps: Santa, please avoid clogging my chimney😃

The past is an imaginary leash. - Judy Cohen.

The past only appears in thought.
If you find your troubles around money/life, can you see that they are thoughts? These wispy things that appear and disappear.

Right now, there is enough. Right now, you are okay. Right now, if you don't think, there is no problem. And no timeline. Just now. Right now, if things are intense, you can simply open to the intensity of experience and be with it.

And you can deal with whatever life/money decisions need to be made. Just not in a bogged down way...in a practical, life-serving way.

And sorry about the spellings, but I just liked this meme so much regardless!

Inspired by the newsletter of Judy Cohen.

Giving up the idea that there is 'something wrong with me' that needs improving is a huge relief!
