Very happy with our recent two purchases for the portfolio - the Macallan Folio 6 and Folio 7 Archival releases.

Capturing the essence of Macallan whisky - undoubtedly Scotland’s most renowned and investable - this series celebrates key moments from the distilleries gilded history.

The Folio 6 celebrates a wonderfully witty past advert, which cleverly featured ‘The Chairman’ as a Scotsman dancing the Highland fling over a pen and brush, the symbols of the advertising team of Holmes and Salaman.

The Folio 7 captures one of the legendary advertising campaigns from 1986, ‘The Boffins Baffled’, which tells the story of a party of scientists who were left positively baffled when asked why The Macallan was so special.

Year 1 results are in! 📈🍷

We are pleased to report growth of 8.3% at the end of year 1. After a booming first half and a challenging second half, we are pleased that our portfolio showed some resilience based of the sheer quality of the wines to end the year with a healthy growth position.

We are optimistic for the fine wine market outlook for 23/24 and are confident we can continue to keep growing the fund in terms of AuM but also compound growth into the coming year.

Some superb St. Emilions on display last night with showcasing the incredible power and purity of the 19/20 vintages with a few more mature treats thrown in to highlight ageing potential.

We’re big fans of the new 2020 Mouton Rothschild label by Scottish contemporary artist Peter Doig. 🙋🏽‍♂️

Is there a more beautiful selection of labels to have in your collection? Mouton Rothschild, known for having some of the famous artists of all time design their labels, have come up with our favourite since the beautiful 2014 label by David Hockney.

In his official statement, Peter said: ‘The painting shows something of what goes on behind the scenes in the production of wine, what happens offstage, as it were.’

‘It’s perhaps not typical for a wine label to depict a moon, it should be a sun maybe, but I thought my picture was more about a dream, a revery of this, and the winemaking process.’

For a wine revered by many of the critics including James Suckling (99pts) this seems appropriate enough to us. We’re glad we have this is our collection! 🙏🏼🍷

We are very pleased to be able to offer this exceptional Leoville Las Cases 1986 in double magnum. Awarded 100 points by Robert Parker this has become one of the classics from this heralded estate, which often reaches the quality levels of the first growths in many vintages.

Still with many years life ahead, this is a big wine with great structure but balanced with great purity of fruit and freshness. It could be enjoyed now at its apogee or any time in the next 20 years.

Perhaps not Dujac’s most prestigious cuvee but when you’re offered it at 25% below market, you bite the proverbial hand off 🍷 (and don’t worry we haven’t already opened our case - it is securely stored under Bond along with the rest of our wines.)

We’re super pleased to have been able to curate the wine list at The Liquid Gold Whisky Co, our local experts in Surrey for everything distilled.

In realising that our approaches to finding only the greatest drinks were entirely aligned, we are pleased to have selected some of our favourite wines to be listed in the store. Most if not all of these will be poured at the tasting we are running with them next month (23 Apr- tickets still available) just head to their website. 🎫
