Remortgaging is not always straightforward, and it’s not always the cheapest option.

Sometimes the new lender may charge additional fees, or extend the mortgage deal longer than you’d like. Equally your current provider may charge an exit fee.

That’s why I focus on finding the best deal for you.

I’ll help you work out the costs involved, propose a range of options and negotiate the best deal on your behalf.

My advice is free.

Find out how we can simplify the process for you by getting in contact today.

Can you benefit from high EPC ratings?

Having low energy bills is a priority currently for most households.

You could potentially benefit from having an efficient home that has a high EPC rating.

The most beneficial is lower energy bills because your home needs less energy to stay warm and operate effectively.

Special deals are available that lenders offer to energy efficient “green” homes that are typically rated A-B.

To see if you could be eligible for a preferential mortgage rate due to your EPC rating, get in touch today, free of charge.

A question I am getting a lot is, will interest rates continue to rise?

Unfortunately, I cannot predict the future, nor do I have a crystal ball.

But the facts are that average 5-year fixed rate mortgages have risen from 4.74% to 6% since the 23rd September, according to data provider MoneyFacts. Will this continue to rise? What should you do now?

Speaking to a professional, like myself, is the best solution to gain knowledge around this topic and your circumstances.

Plus, there are no obligations to you as I don’t charge an adviser fee.

Get in touch today, to see how I can help you.

Could you improve your mortgage rate?

Forward planning is becoming ever more important as the fuel crisis and general prices continue to climb, as the possibility of a recession looms.

The Bank of England rate is currently at 1.75%, as inflation is at its highest levels for more than 40 years. This increases the pressure on the Bank of England to continue to increase this rate to help control inflation within the economy creating predictions of the base rate reaching 3% by the end of the year, nearly doubling the cost of borrowing from where is it now.

As explained below:

This brings more importance on you to get a handle of your finances and act now, in good time, to help ease potential increases in your mortgage payments and to make sure your home is protected too.

If you are wondering how you can improve your future or current situation then get in touch today and see what options you have.

My advice is free, so you have nothing to lose 😊

All questions are welcome, even if it is just a yes or no answer.

The average asking price of properties coming to market has dropped by 0.6% since October.

If you think this is not the time of year to buy a property, then think again.

Many buyers research potential properties online over the festive period and there was a 14% rise in potential sellers requesting a valuation from an estate agent in October than the same period last year.

It’s often the case that sellers who come to market this close to Christmas often have a pressing reason to sell, so price more attractively to grab the attention of prospective buyers.

Get in touch for a chat and we can talk through your options. Alternatively, if you feel this may benefit someone you know please share.

Have you ever considered shared-ownership?

If you are a first-time buyer and think you will never get onto the housing ladder, then think again!

There are many government schemes designed to make buying a home more accessible for people who would otherwise struggle to generate a deposit. Shared Ownership is one of these schemes and has grown in popularity in recent years, but what do you need to know before deciding?

Simply put, this scheme involves the borrower securing a mortgage for part of a house and renting the rest - part buy, part rent. This means that both the deposit and the monthly mortgage payments are considerably lower and allows first-time buyers to make their first steps towards owning a home.

Like all government schemes, there are eligibility requirements - if you would like to know more and discuss if it would be right for you, then please get in touch.
