A proverbial magnificent must certainly be present in such places but Salisbury’s one also has the tallest spire in the whole . Not only that, the castle is sadly known for being used by Russian spies as a pretence. Salisbury also has other pretty unique things like four remaining original manuscripts of 13th century, one of the most celebrated documents in English history symbolising justice and human rights. The town is 1.5 hours by train from Waterloo or 2 hours trip if you drive.
2️⃣ As you’d expect from , it boasts a few remarkable and, if you haven’t got enough of it, its J.K.Rowling style jaw-dropping architecture. Climb the St Mary’s tower for the best view in Oxford including the neo-classical Radcliff Camera, arguably the most famous building in the area. Wander around the and feel the atmosphere of one of the world’s best and oldest universities. Pay a visit to the and listen to the local bands. Finally, you cannot leave Oxford without visiting the , better known worldwide as the Restricted Section of the ’s Hogwarts if you know what I mean. Take a convenient train there from Paddington (1 hour) or just drive passing the Stonehenge (1.5 hours).
