FTX Has Recovered 'Over $5B' in Assets, Bankruptcy Attorney Says
Crypto exchange FTX has recovered more than $5 billion in different assets, not including another $425 million in crypto held by the Securities Commission of the Bahamas, a bankruptcy attorney said during a hearing Wednesday. The announcement substantially raises the total FTX claims it holds, after the company's new leadership said it could only find just over $1 billion on Dec. 20, 2022. The total amount FTX owes its creditors is still unclear. In initial bankruptcy filings, the company's management checked off the box indicating a figure between $1 and $10 billion.

Just-In: Microsoft Bans Crypto Mining From Its Servers.
Microsoft has modified its policy terms to make it clear that mining cryptocurrencies on its online services are not permitted without prior authorization. The upgrade, which is applicable to all users, including Microsoft's premium subscribers, went into effect this December. The upgrade forbids users from mining on Microsoft's online services, primarily those connected to its cloud platform Azure. Mining is the process of verifying and adding transaction records to proof-of-work blockchains.

Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini is trying to recover the $900 million it had paid in loan to crypto broker Genesis and its parent company Digital Currency Group (DCG).
According to a Financial Times report, the Winklevoss twins' crypto exchange is seeking to retrieve the funds after Genesis was wrongfooted by last month's failure of Sam Bankman-Fried's FTX crypto platform. Barry Silbert, founder of DCG, told shareholders in a letter last month that the company owes $575 million to Genesis Global Capital, the lending arm of Genesis.

Polygon adds 43 million unique addresses in 5 months as MATIC soars 25% in a week
Polygon (MATIC) is recording double-digit weekly and monthly gains, along with significant growth of its network over the past several months. As it happens, Polygon has added 42,869,034 unique addresses to its chain between June 7 and November 7, 2022, according to the data retrieved by Finbold from the Polygon network explorer PolygonScan on November 8.
