Ukraine's cyber-security authority says it is fighting a war in the digital realm, as well as on the ground.

The ministry says it is facing constant cyber-attacks against its government and infrastructure networks, with individual officials now being targeted.

It claimed that its cyber-defences are repelling most attacks.

But it added that the cyber-conflict with Russia was unprecedented, describing it as a "hybrid war".

Alongside the conventional war in Ukraine, a cyber-conflict is also being fought, says the government.

Ukraine is set to join the NATO Cyber Hub, a NATO-affiliated cyber defence centre, after an unanimous vote by members to admit the country.

The Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) said Ukraine would become a “contributing participant” alongside other non-NATO member countries, including Sweden, Finland, South Korea and Switzerland.

The White House has unveiled its zero trust strategy to cybersecurity across the federal government.

The model includes stronger identity and access controls, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA).

The latest requirements were developed in response to increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks, including the Log4j vulnerability.

Federal agencies must incorporate the additional requirements into their plans to develop zero trust architecture within 60 days.
