It's not everyday you have to go through the Court system to recover money you are owed, and for most it can be a very stressful situation. A lot of our claimants are usually in this same position and have never used the County Court or High Court systems before.

This was the case for one of our recent claimants, where we managed to successfully recover their money in full. It is great to hear the positive feedback of the good work of our operations team who made the process much easier and straightforward, and our Enforcement Agents were able to recover the full amount owing! 💷

It is always a good feeling to finish a days work, knowing that the work you have done has helped someone!

This particular client of ours was in the process of working on one of their car parks in the midlands, which has sadly been empty since the pandemic, though prior to this, was being used daily. Then a group of arrived in 13 Caravans and accompanying vehicles, putting a stop to it.

Our had successfully moved the encampment on within 24hrs of instruction, by firstly serving them a notice to leave which was ignored, meaning a team of Enforcement Agents had to return and move them on.

Now the car park is secure and can be finished for the return of customers' use! ☑️

❗❗ GOVERNMENT EXTEND BAN ON COMMERCIAL PROPERTY EVICTIONS AND RENT COLLECTIONS ❗❗

Yesterday, the UK Government announced a significant extension for the ban on Commercial Property Evictions (known as Forfeiture of Lease) and requirements surrounding Commercial Rent Collection (known as Commercial Rent Arrears Recovery). Though an extension was expected, a further 9 months was a big surprise and extremely disappointing to say the least and it will have a huge detrimental effect on Commercial Landlords throughout the Country, on top of the already damaging financial effect they have suffered!

❗❗ LANDLORDS CAN STILL TAKE ACTION TO RECOVER BOTH PROPERTY AND MONEY ❗❗

Currently, there is nothing preventing Commercial Landlords going through the County Court to obtain either a money Judgment to collect outstanding Rent Arrears or an Order for Possession to regain their Commercial Property. We have seen positive results from some of our clients who have already taken this route. As High Court Enforcement Officers we can help recover your money or property once you have the relevant Order from the County Court by transferring the case to the High Court.

On Tuesday 4th May the Government introduced The Debt Respite Scheme (Breathing Space).

Here you can see what eligible debtors are able to apply for through Local Authorities or a Debt Advisor such as Step Change or Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and also the responsibilities placed on Claimants and our Industry.
