This is a key role delivering independent, free, impartial and confidential advice, information and advocacy on statutory benefits and social security matters to clients across Argyll & Bute, including representation at First-tier Tribunal.

We're looking for an experienced adviser with strong knowledge of welfare rights and social security legislation, who's confident representing clients at tribunal and passionate about supporting the development of others.

We offer excellent benefits too, including 25 days annual leave (pro rata), 10 public holidays, a 6% employer pension contribution, and a 4-day week (pro rata)!

In this role, you'll take the lead on the quality of our money advice (debt) casework with a particular focus on supporting people at risk of losing their homes through eviction or repossession. You'll provide specialist support across free debt management, statutory and sustainable solutions, and lay representation in court and pre-court settings.

We're looking for someone committed, results driven, and a strong communicator who can work both independently and as part of a team. Travel is essential for this role, and expenses are reimbursed.

16–21 hours per week, fixed-term until 31st March 2027 (with possible extension)
£25,649 pro-rata

This is a great development role, full training provided! You'll be the first point of contact for clients across Argyll and Bute, helping them access advice from our fully trained team. We're looking for someone empathetic, organised, and comfortable juggling more than one task at a time.
