Big news for families with 3 or more children

The rules for universal credit are changing from 6 April 2026 so that it is possible to include all children in your household in your award (previously there was a two child limit). If you have three or more children, you may become entitled to the benefit for the first time, or if you are on universal credit already you may be due an increase (although this may not apply if you are subject to the benefit cap or have transitional protection in your award).

Not sure if this applies to you? Check out these free benefit calculators https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators or get in touch with us — our advisers can check your eligibility and help you make a claim.
