About the Play!

An unfortunate over-booking of the Church Hall results in a gathering of a wonderful mix of local characters, ranging from Evonne, the nervous Vicar's wife, to Leonard, a man intent on delivering a talk on steam locomotives to anyone who will listen!

Eventually they all unite to produce a pantomime but, as rehearsals proceed, alliances are forged and switched as the opening night looms. Events culminate backstage after the final performance.

Good Afternoon folks! We are pleased to announce that the tickets for our annual Summer Season show 'OH WHAT A NIGHT' are on sale from Monday at Coversure Insurance Services - Llandrindod in Middleton Street.
Oh What A Night is a lively and vibrant song and dance show. Suitable for all the family, the show features well known songs both old and new for your enjoyment and entertainment! With bright costumes, lively dance routines, a live band and an energetic cast, this is a show not to be missed - come join us and singalong, there is sure to be something for everyone. Every Thursday throughout the summer (excluding RWAS week), we open on Thursday 12th July for our first night of the run - we hope to see you there!

California Dreamers production will include world-wide recognised music from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The Eagles, The Mamas and Papas, The Monkees, The Turtles and even Singer/Songwriters Carole King, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne.

You will hear classic songs like California Dreaming, Mr Tambourine Man, Love The One You're With, Happy Together, Big Yellow Taxi and a host of other world-class hits from the Groovin’ 60’s and 70’s, taking you on a journey behind the songs and stories of the Legends of Laurel Canyon.

Coming to the The Albert Hall on March 24th:
Only Fools And Boycie – An intimate evening with Only Fools And Horses actor John Challis.

Enjoy an evening with John Challis, one of the nation's greatest comedy actors, best known as Boycie in BBC1's Only Fools and Horses. In this one-off show the national treasure will reveal secrets from the set with stories and anecdotes from his dazzling career.

Having worked with some of the biggest names in show business, he'll be spilling the beans about Only Fools and Horses co-stars like Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst and friends and fellow performers like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oliver Reed and George Best. He’ll also recall tales from his time in Dr Who, Coronation Street and other TV classics.

Mr Challis will also meet fans after the show to sign autographs and pose for pictures, while signing copies of his autobiography, Being Boycie, and novel, Reggie: A Stag At Bay.

Tickets for Rhayader Players Pantomime SIMBA, are on sale now in the office! If you can't get to Rhayader Leisure Centre this Saturday between 10am and 12pm, pop in to see us, we have tickets for all three performances next weekend, Friday 2nd at 7.30pm and Saturday 3rd at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

ROLL UP! ROLL UP!! Get your tickets for SIMBA!!! On sale this Saturday, 27th January from 10am to 12pm at Rhayader Leisure Centre, and available from Coversure Insurance Services - Llandrindod during open hours.
