Meet Nick & Kane 👋

Each week, Nick and Kane join us for an hour, spending time across a number of departments including Warehouse, Goods In, Quality Control, and our Shop & Showroom.

From helping with day-to-day tasks and department projects to getting to know different members of the team, Nick has become a valued part of the weekly routine and a familiar face around the site. 🦺

It's always a pleasure to welcome Nick to Marches Business Group, and we're delighted to hear that it's something he looks forward to each week.

At From The Anvil, many of our products begin their journey right here in Mid Wales. 📍

From initial ideas and product design through to manufacturing, marketing and sales, multiple departments work together to bring new products to market.

Our in-house manufacturing facilities play a key role in that process, producing a range of products whilst supporting ongoing innovation and development across the business. 📈

It's a great example of the capabilities we have within the group and the work that takes place behind the scenes each day.

Having this expertise, facilities and resources under one roof allows us to remain flexible, maintain high standards and continue developing what we do. 🌟

Meet Gordon 👋

After discovering our "No Vacancy" opportunity, Gordon submitted his CV and was invited in for a chat with the team. Following several meetings and a tour of the business, he was offered the role of Technical & Projects Coordinator and joined From The Anvil.

Gordon brings with him a wealth of experience across technical, design and project-based roles. Having previously worked in bespoke sales, design and engineering positions, he has developed a broad skillset spanning product design, component problem-solving, project coordination and customer support. 📋

In his role, Gordon works closely with our Product Development and Quality Control departments, supporting technical enquiries, checking product lines for quality and accuracy, assisting with product development, managing stock adjustments and quotations, and helping to ensure the high standards expected across the business are maintained. 🌟

"I enjoy the variety of work the role encompasses and working within a like-minded team. As I'm becoming more familiar with the products and procedures, I'm able to draw on my experience and knowledge to share new ideas and look at ways we can become more efficient."

It has been a successful year so far on the development front, with Kaitlyn, Chloe and Lara all successfully achieving qualifications alongside their day-to-day roles.

Balancing professional study with work commitments is no small achievement, and all three have shown great dedication throughout their learning journeys.

We are delighted to see their efforts rewarded and congratulate them on the qualifications they have achieved.

Since advertising our Business Scholarship programme, we have received a high level of interest across a range of business departments and are pleased to welcome another new member.

Lexi has recently joined the From The Anvil team as a Sales Assistant. 👋

After finishing GCSEs, realising college wasn’t for her and seeing the programme advertised online, Lexi felt it was the perfect opportunity to gain experience and begin a new career journey. "I've only previously worked in hospitality, so this was a huge step for me and a very exciting new chapter in my life."

In her role, Lexi supports the Sales and Customer Service teams, with day-to-day responsibilities including processing orders, answering customer calls and assisting with a range of customer service activities. 📞

"I don't have a favourite part of my role because I enjoy all of it equally."

Through the Business Scholarship programme, Lexi is gaining hands-on experience while developing a wider understanding of the business and building her confidence across different areas of the company.
