🚕What makes a Taxi Hero?

Maybe it's a driver who always looks out for their passengers. Someone who's supported a local cause. Or someone who has stepped up when it mattered most.

If they've made a difference, they could be crowned Britain's Taxi Hero.🏆

Our new video shines a light on Simon, a taxi driver from Liverpool who goes above and beyond to give back to his community. From supporting local kids' football clubs to sending aid to Ukraine, Simon shows just how much of a difference taxi drivers can make in the communities around them.❤️

We're sharing stories like Simon's to celebrate the unsung heroes in our communities and that's exactly what the Taxi Hero Awards is about.🏆

It's time taxi drivers got the credit they deserve 🚕

In fact, 82% of people surveyed agreed that taxi drivers are important to their local community, yet 44% don’t think that taxi drivers receive the recognition they deserve.*

After four decades of supporting Britain's taxi trade, we think it's time to change that.

🏆 That's why we created the Acorn Taxi Hero Award – to celebrate the drivers who go above and beyond every day.

Over the past two weeks, Acorn Insurance has been delighted to welcome our customers to a series of open days across our Manchester and London branches.

These events were all about giving back to our amazing customers and the wider taxi community, creating a space to chat with our team about insurance, connect with fellow drivers, and enjoy a hot drink and a biscuit (or two!) ☕

Thanks to the great turnout and feedback from our March open days, we’re planning more events throughout the year.
